American rapper, singer and songwriter, artist Julius Dubose, known professionally as A Boogie wit da Hoodie, has leaked online the new song “Ballin” from the album project Me vs. Myself.
A Boogie wit Da Hoodie has been hinting at a new album for a long time, but plans keep changing.
The rapper posted the November 4 release date and cover art on social media. The cover shows him as an animated character looking at his own reflection in a lake while two orange butterflies fly around him. me vs. Myself will be the rapper’s first full-length studio album since Artist 2.0 was released in February 2020. Artist 2.0 debuted at No. 2 and was certified platinum by the RIAA in December 2021.
Between Artist 2.0 and now, the New York City-born rapper released EP B4 AVA in December 2021 and worked with Rowdy Rebel, B-Lovee, Nas, the late King Von, and others.
It also showed the cover, which is an image of a person looking at their own reflection in the water. Take a look above. A Boogie and HER released a single called “Playa” in April. Since the album was announced today, we can expect a new single to come out next week.
A Boogie wit da Hoodie, or simply A Boogie, is the stage name of American rapper and singer Julius Dubose, who was born on December 6, 1995 in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx.
The “A” in her name is a shortened form of her first name. “Boogie” comes from his hometown, which is sometimes called “Boogie Down Bronx”. “wit da Hoodie” comes from the fact that he always wears hoodies.
A Boogie first became known when his underground hit “My Shit”, which came out on January 17, 2016, was a huge hit. Artist, A Boogie’s first mixtape, came out in February of that year. Then in May, he and Don Q released a mixtape they made together called Highbridge the Label: The Takeover, Vol. 1.
The Bigger Artist, A Boogie’s first studio album, was released on September 29, 2017. International Artist, A Boogie’s first EP, was released on June 20, 2018.
His second studio album, Hoodie SZN, came out on December 21, 2018 and went straight to the top of the Billboard 200 album chart.
Artist 2.0, A Boogie’s third studio album, came out on February 14, 2020, which was Valentine’s Day. It was released four years after the first album.
Four months later, on June 19, 2020, he released the deluxe version of Artist 2.0. He had nine new songs, including one with his daughter Melody.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is signed to Atlantic Records, as well as his own record label, Highbridge the Label.
